To assign priority to process in windows 7

Windows 7 itself assign different priority to process which are running in foreground and background tasks. It assigns high priority to task which requires more CPU usage and low priority to others. But you can assign your own priority to the tasks executed.
To do that – right click on taskbar – task manager
In taskmanger you can see the list of process running, right click on any process which you want to assign priority.
Right click on tasks – set priority – high or normal

To make sure your priority is saved, you may use a utility named Prio- Process Priority Saver, which is free for personal use. Prio allows a user to save the priority specified by user for any process. Once it is installed it will provide an option in the menu to save the priority of a process.
