May 20, 2012Blog

Have you heard about Rainmeter application which customizes your desktop and gives Metro appearance as in Windows 8? do you wonder how to know how to install Rainmeter skins/themes? First of all to use the rainmeter themes, you need the Rainmeter application. Every Rainmeter theme normally comes with an auto-installer. It is recommended to use this installer to install the skins and themes. However, it is not fully fail-proof, so you should also know how to install the Rainmeter skins manually.

  • 1. Extract the contents of your theme somewhere on your hard drive.
  • 2. Navigate to the folder and double-click on Rainstaller.exe (might be named differently for other themes)

  • 1. Extract the contents of your theme somewhere on your hard drive.

  • 5. Go to the folder we extraced the content to in (1).

Please download the rainmeter tool from , and install it… Then when you download themes from our site from rainmeter category, just double click the installer file which will be in format .rmskin.

If the zip file contains only folder, then place it in the rainmeter installation folder under /skin and you can see that in rainmeter themes list.. I will try to put some screenshots soon to this tutorial..

      Hope this helps :)
